Unfortunately, there will be no Florida location for Camp 42 in 2025. Reservations are difficult to come by at Hugh Taylor Birch, and interest is too low at the Wekiwa Springs location due to that the only week available is the week before the start of school. Stay tuned for 2026!
Beginning in 2022, Camp 42 Florida takes place at the amazingly gorgeous Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Located on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, this oasis of tropical hammocks boasts 4 distinct natural communities. Campers will enjoy canoeing along a freshwater lagoon, playing and swimming on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean, hiking through a native maritime tropical hardwood hammock ecosystem, viewing a wide variety of wildlife, and of course, all the traditional activities that go along with exploring life, the universe, and everything!
Campers stay in climate-controlled cabins with attached bathrooms.
Camp 42 Florida took place at Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka in 2018 and 2019. Unfortunately, the only week available was the first week in August which is the week before the start of school, and could even coincide with the start of school in some cases, so we moved locations in 2022.
All cabins are identical and have a welcoming screened porch.
